From the beginning, the remaining glass cylinder was conceived as a valuable element rather than a byproduct. While producing the burners, these cast glass cylinders became the starting point for a second application. Their form suggested a new architectural element combining glass and concrete. The installation presents Blocco, a modular system composed of concrete elements embedded with cast glass cylinders. Slightly protruding from the surface, the glass allows light to pass through the wall while refracting and multiplying it within the material itself. The result is a structure that remains solid and private while still transmitting light.
